A follow up to the investigation by the Senate Finance and Senate HELP Committee into some of the largest teen treatment providers including Acadia Health Services, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, Universal Health Services, and Vivant Behavioral Healthcare (formerly Sequel).

Your Voice Matters

At the beginning of the upcoming Senate Finance Committee Hearing, a powerful 5-minute video highlighting the stories of survivors and their families from UHS, Devereux, Acadia, and Vivant (formerly Sequel) facilities will be played. This video will be a montage of survivor stories, allowing us to represent as many voices as possible.

Instructions for Recording Your Video:

  1. Preparation:

    • Find a well-lit, quiet place with no distractions to ensure your video is clear and audible.

    • Use our sample script as a guide to structure your story. Link to sample script.

  2. Recording:

    • Begin with the opening line:

      "My name is [Your Name], and I was abused at a [UHS / Acadia / Devereux / Sequel/Vivant] Facility from [Year] to [Year]."

    • Keep your video to one minute or under to ensure we can include as many stories as possible.

    • Record your video in horizontal or landscape format using the back camera on your phone.

    • Make sure to look at the camera while you are telling your story

  3. Content:

    • Share a brief overview of your experience and its impact on you.

    • Be authentic and speak from the heart.

  4. Uploading Your Video:

    • Save your video in a common format (e.g., .mp4, .mov).

    • Upload your video to our Dropbox: Dropbox Upload Link

    **Due to time constraints, not every story may be included in the 5-minute video. However, we are committed to sharing these impactful stories on social media following the hearing to ensure your voice is heard and your story contributes to the larger movement for change.

    **By submitting your video to 11:11 Media, you grant us, our affiliates, and partners a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, and create derivative works from your video in any media formats and channels.
